It is with a heavy heart that I must share the sad news of Bill’s passing. Karl wrote a brief letter to the club that I am including below. Details regarding arrangement and services will follow in the coming days.

Friends and Family,
At 2:48 this afternoon Bill Powney took his last Breath after a long and painful fight that he faced with the courage and stubbornness typical of his approach to all challenges.
After nearly 2 years of defiance and telling cancer “you’re wrong and I’ll tell you why”… He decided it was time.
He died peacefully with all those he cherished most at his bedside.
I was unfortunate in having to break the news to him, and honored to be present to say goodbye.
